Your privacy, clearly explained

This page explains what information TJR Affairs collects when you use our website, how we use it, who sees it, and how you can control it. Plain language, no legalese tricks.

Who we are

TJR Affairs is an event rental marketplace based in Chicago, IL. We provide throne chairs, balloon decor, custom banners, backdrops, and T-shirts for events. Our website is at tjraffairs.jorrii.io.

What we collect

When you use our website or place an order, we collect:

• Account info: your name, email address, phone number, and a password (if you register an account).
• Google sign-in info (optional): if you sign in using your Google account, we receive your Google email address, name, and profile picture. We do not receive your Google password.
• Order info: event date, event address, items you order, any inspiration photos you upload, and notes you leave for us.
• Payment-related info: we do NOT store credit card info. All payments are made outside our site via Zelle. We only record that you told us you sent payment.
• Technical info: your IP address and browser type, for basic security and to prevent abuse.

Why we collect it

• To fulfill your order: we need your event date and address to deliver, set up, and complete your booking.
• To contact you about your order: confirming details, asking questions, coordinating delivery times.
• To keep your account working: so you can log back in, see your past orders, and place new ones without retyping everything.
• Basic site security: to prevent abuse, spam, and fraud.

Who sees your info

TJR Affairs operates as a marketplace of independent partner vendors (chair rentals, balloon decorators, printers). When you place an order, the partners responsible for fulfilling your items will see the information they need to complete their part of the job — typically your name, phone number, event date, event address, and the details of what they're providing.

We do not sell your information to advertisers, data brokers, or any third party. We don't run ads on our website.

We may share information when legally required (subpoena, court order) or to protect our rights and the safety of our partners and customers.

How long we keep it

• Your account: as long as you keep your account active. You can request deletion anytime (see below).
• Your orders: kept indefinitely for tax and business record purposes, but archived after the event is complete.
• Inspiration photos you upload: automatically deleted 30 days after your event date. We only need them to complete your order.
• Technical logs: typically 30–90 days.

Cookies and sessions

We use simple session cookies to keep you logged in as you browse and to remember what's in your cart. We do not use tracking cookies, analytics cookies, or advertising cookies. Your browser can block these cookies but the site will not work properly if you do.

Your rights

You can, at any time:

• See your info: log into your account to view your profile, orders, and uploaded photos.
• Correct your info: update your name, email, phone, or address in your account settings.
• Delete your account: email us at tjraffairs@gmail.com and we'll remove your account. Note: we may retain order records for tax purposes as required by law.
• Ask questions: we'll respond within 14 days.

Google Sign-In (if you use it)

If you sign in using your Google account, Google shares a limited set of information with us: your email address, full name, and profile picture URL. We do not receive your Google password or any other information from your Google account. You can revoke TJR Affairs's access to your Google account at any time from your Google Account settings at myaccount.google.com/permissions.

Children

Our site is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided info to us, please contact us and we'll delete it.

Changes to this policy

If we meaningfully change this policy, we'll update the "last updated" date at the top of this page and notify account holders by email. Small typo fixes and clarifications don't trigger a notification.
